To Fall From Grace

from the ABC set My Poetry

To fall from Grace,
isn't hard to do.
Once mis-step, and clouds give way from you.

Fallen Angel,
once so adored,
Now finds themself, at Hell's door.

Their wings are clipped,
bruises are replete,
that's what you get, for saying what you mean.

Years of goodwill,
thrown to the side.
Silly you, for wasting your time.

Those who seek darkness,
will by it be consumed.
They'll see shadows in a brightly lit room.

So down you go,
just for being true.
For they saw a shadow, and it fell on you.
