Gravity,
the only real god
It pushes down
on the titanic skyscrapers,
on the pigeon in flight,
on the youth in the universities,
on the old man in the park
and the ducks that he feeds
It presses down
on every joint and every bone,
on every beam and every pillair,
and though it's repulsed
for 125 or a thousand years,
yet (like a creeping river to the sea)
it will have its crumbling victory
