they have to make it known
that they are there
and everyone's the same same same,
no difference.

They raise a stink
over the Other
whomever that may be,
they hate the Other
because the other
threatens us.

They'll have to sacrifice someone
in their group
who sympathizes or works with the other...
everyone has to be a good, religious comrade.

it's sickening,
it's the twilight of the idols,
it's deafening
the stupidity
the insanity
of the protectors.

and the kids
what of the kids
who really hear the voice of God,
where are they going?
what do they know?
