Butterflies and windchimes...

The backyard sanctuary for her,
a quiet place to just dream...
A gazebo circled with roses
a hide-a-way so supreme....
The music of windchimes fills her soul,
as they dance upon the breeze..
Telling tales of love and mystery,
of kingdoms and salty seas...
Stories of enchanting faery tales,
Sometimes a fable of old,
Of dark velvet skies dressed in starlight,
And, dragons fiery and bold...
The butterflies whisper tales to her
Alighting on fingertips...
Of nature's bountiful beauty rare,
Of the Moon and its eclipse....
Gently she sends them on their way home,
Atop a lilac in bloom,
Watching as they drift so silently
gliding oer' an old scotch broom...
Senses filled with imagination,
New thoughts begin to unveil...
She sees her next project before her,
In bright colorful detail...
She pens poetry at the table,
Her soul tell her what to write....
About butterflies' tiffany wings,
Windchimes, swaying in sunlight...
