If

from the ABC set shamrock's ramblings

If we all lead, who will follow?
If we all follow, who will lead?
If dreams are only of tomorrow
And tomorrow, regrets for former deeds.
If we wish for age when we are young
And long for youth when day is done
How much of love is left for life?
How much of life is left for love?
If we can’t love, for too much hate
And come to realize too late;
How much more, we’ll rise above,
If we can’t hate, for too much love.

I'd like to hear this set to music... I like it, it's optimistic. It has the essence of that growing up we adults still have to do to come to terms with ourselves and the world.

A very wise write.x

Very wise, but not sure whether the semi-colon is how you mean to define your meaning, if you see, in the lines:

'If dreams are only of tomorrow
And tomorrow; regrets for former deeds.'

Do you mean:

'If dreams are only of tomorrow,
And tomorrow, regrets for former deeds.'?

Anyone else?

I'll let you choose J

I wasn't implying that the meaning was ambiguous, rather that the grammar was incorrect.

Politeness getting in the way, you see...

Wow, this is really good, wise, and considering the meaning (at least what it means to me) strangely optimistic, but i do mean that in a good way! Tres bien!
