rolled chatteringly by
a nightingale. upon
hearing its haunting phrases,
the river became silent.
from that night,
the river of beauty
became silent and
listened to the repertoire
of the singing bird.
until a day, they switched
places; as the nightingale
songed, the river drowned itself.
