"the sapphire tree"

from the ABC set ∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙this poem book that he gave

through the many arches
stood a sapphire tree.
one day, she offered
her many sapphires. he
watched from afar
thinking there are
many ways to use the
body for love. what
he looked for were
not sapphires, diamonds
or gold; what he sought
held no price. the
beautiful sapphire tree,
without even a sapphire,
quietly curved her many
branches to his boot
and there she remained,
instinctively, with
every adornment.
