we leave a shimmering
line
trailing across the floor
crumpled
creased
shredded and torn
sticky traces
of white A4

Like it or not
dip in
drop out
say no
or don’t answer the phone
somewhere out there
people in appropriate office dress
with TV hair
are sending
bits
of paper
to you
