1st Verse:
One day I was sitting, wishin’
that love’s little electrician
could change the blown light bulb in my heart.
My heart was a room that’s gloomy,
and that gloom, it ran right through me,
thought that dark age would never depart.
Chorus:
But then you came along
and the light was so strong
that it almost made me blind.
Yes, when you came along;
Love struck me like a gong.
That’s the day when the whole world shined.
2nd Verse:
Once I gazed through glass of pitch black;
wondered when the sun would come back ;
when I’d see its smiling face again.
But then, fast as flash of lightning,
the whole wide world began brightening
and the sun has never set since then.
2nd Chorus:
‘Cause then you came along
and the light was so strong
like the moon had moved into my mind.
Yes, when you came along;
thrills filled me like a throng.
That’s the day when the whole world shined.

Thanks, Blessing. Today an electrician fixed a wiring problem in my house and so I thought I'd
use it as a starting point to a song.
I listen to alot of old music like the songs of Cole Porter and George and Ira Gershwin and they often have 'cute' or 'funny' lyrics (eg: "You say tomayto and I say tomahto") and this is supposed to be an old fashioned sort of song.

"Ex amore victoria". ("From love comes victory".)
