Alone at the side,
No-one else there.
Alone at last,
He can get it done.
He lights the candles and lies down,
Reaches for the pills.
It won't hurt a bit,
He'll just go to sleep and never wake up.
A gut-wrenching pain tears him from slumber,
His stomach burning, twisting torture.
He calls for help but nobody hears him.
He is alone.
As hiseyes slide shut, the candles flicker out.
He regrets his actions now.
He could have chosen painful life,
But instead he chose agonising death.
He dies alone in his room,
No family, no friends.
Death welcomes him with open arms.
He will be eternally alone.
