A truth of broken love

And so all I have is words,
Poetry to your heart, if words cannot subdue you,
Then our worlds are destined to part,
How can I create when your face is all I see?
And when you cry I know its my fault,

Your tormentor, your lover,
The man with whom you lie,
But you are the beauty, burned deep into my eye.
The drive and amibition, the dark and stormy sky,
Good fortune but poor nature,
A reason two lovers sigh.

Cute (: I like this because it's short and sweet, without too much...waffle (:

great poem, I especially like how you've started it: "And so all I have is words"...a line that could be easily applied to all us ABC talers!

thank you, i agree inspiredwriter, some love poems do waffle on, maybe to the author it seems like they are expressing their love but to the reader its just soppy waffle. haha. thanks
