I am who I am
and nobody will change me
people at school can laugh at what I wear
because I really dont care
i'm proud of who I am, because i'm not a follower
everyone is, a Goth, Emo or 'girly girl'
well leave me out, i'm not in those categories
i'm me. Simply me. Only me.
And nothing can stop me
I used to try and be like them,
no thats a lie
i used to try and BE them
tried harder than anyone.
But i'm happy to be a leader, a loner, whatever you call it.
because the same is boring
I STAND OUT
I CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
and I love my life
every
single
moment
so dont pity me when you see me stand out
because i'm loving it
you followers should pity someone too scared to stand out.
Like you perhaps?

'Like you perhaps?'
I like to think otherwise. ;-p
I really like the confidence of this poem. The thing that is effective about this poem is that it should be a very big cliché, but it isn't and that falls into perfect harmony with the actual context of the piece.
Well done.
Nathan.

I agree with you, despite what we look like we are who we are, nothing can change that. If only people were more like this than the world would not have the dividing line between groups of people...
good work xx
