THE SILENCE

Fictional (but ‘inspired’ by something I read in the news).

CHECKING THE MEETING AGENDA

A light-hearted idea that came to mind in August 2011.

WHERE?

Where does he want to go?

DONE AND DUSTED

Most of this poem is in capitals for a reason!

NOT THE LOT!

Don’t put all your eggs in one basket, Don’t put each milk bottle in one crate, Don’t put all your chocolates in one box, Do not put each sandwich on one plate.

SYMPATHETIC SPIDER

I’m a sympathising spider. As I see wasps or little flies, Go straight into their sticky doom, I can’t believe my many eyes.

IF PUSH COMES TO SHOVE

Light-hearted poem.

MR SOMEBODY

Rose said she would feel your toes, Gill said she will feel your heel, Bea said she would stroke your knee, Jac said she will stroke your back.

X-TREMELY CRUEL

At your worst, you are really cruel. You can be such a nasty thing, But don’t have the mind to realise, The devastation you can bring.

YOUNGER AND OLDER

Older than my face looks, apparently. Younger than my body feels, sometimes. Older than the first person I wished for, by months, Younger than the person I wish for, by years.
