Oh Poseidon! why?! of such might and power
Smite all these lands with tidal sunder!
Have the gods laid waste to thee?
He who sleeps in the Eastern sea?
Then why did thou cast out the shore
Devoured, Gorged, no more, no more
Your leviathan (was) trapped, set free
'Neath the chasms of the sea.
Oh sea-god! King of the abyss that sleeps
Who sleeps in the Eastern sea
Gaia’s trembling cry, disturbeth thy
As of Atlas’ apathy
And gods! Where art thou size and strength,
To halt the sea-god’s fury?
Cast off a bolt! oh Zeus before
His wrath abolish thee!
Oh Rising Sun, of Helios!
Thou fate against all odds!
Is this, the punishment for all of those
Who don’t believe in gods?!

I really like this - the sonnet before and now all the mythical allusions in a really well put together poem. :-)

I've been trying to write something appropriate about the tragedy too. Wouldn't have thought to approach it this way though. Very nice!
