A place where there is no war
no fights between neighbours
Holy peace
no capitalism
no conservatism
no poor
no rich
no starvation
a place where you
can wear a tee shirt all year round
you can meet all the loved ones
who no longer are alive
like you when you
reach this place
no reason to dwell on life and death
no cause to battle on in vain
no fear
no anxiety
only joy and smiles
a fine reward
for hanging on forever
for struggling with forever
this is my afterlife
pondered on my birthday

Sounds like a great place, Pia - but we must all remember to live a life before we reach it ;) Great piece!

Reminds me a bit of Lennon's "Imagine". I like the last line
this is my afterlife
pondered on my birthday
because it suggests that this is not just a poem about Afterlife but also about Life.
BTW,a belated happy birthday.
