Brilliant Pia,
What an IP, I love, love, love it. I had to read it
a couple of times, because I found it so great to
speak out loud.
A really good effort Pia.
Jenny.

Maybe you didn't see the Inspiration Point this week Nolan? I've cut and pasted it below in case you didn't.
I don't think Pia is insulting anyone in this poem - she's written a gently funny piece, and has followed the IP to the letter. the only problem I have is that I can't guess which accent it's meant to be - it's not German is it?
"Think of a particular ACCENT that appeals to you. It can be any accent in the world, from Scottish, to German to Brazilian, etc. Think hard about its structure and then write a piece, in which you try to capture the accent as well as you possibly can.
This is good exercise for any sort of writing. It allows you the liberty of completely ignoring the rules of language as long as your piece captures the accent. Two rules though:
1.DON’T REVEAL WHAT THE ACCENT YOU’RE TRYING TO CAPTURE IS... instead, let other readers try to guess it in the comments section.
2. NO INSULTING ANY OTHER NATION/CULTURE/BACKGROUND in your piece of writing. This doesn’t mean you can’t make it humorous as long as it doesn’t offend anybody. Strictly forbidden."

This was way more difficult than it first appears, Pia, and don't I know it;-)
I really enjoyed it, and more than well done. As someone said to me recently, 'I take my hat off to you'.

I thought this worked very well. So hard to write and not easy to read accented English. I read a novel in broad Glaswegian recently and eventually got into it but it was a struggle at first.

I feel ridiculous... I have no idea what accent this is :-D It does sound closest to german or Austrian, but very difficult to be sure. Anyways, I really enjoyed your poem and the light humor behind it. Well Done!
Nathan.

Well thanks all for the comments and trying to guess. I think it is closest to German but there is also some Scandinavian in it. So I'll call it Northern European. I'm sorry I couldn't get any closer but really it was just too difficult. Thanks a lot for reading and your kind comments.

I really liked this a lot Pia.

I think it's Danish!
I also think it's very good - and not insulting in the least. It's how people talk - and hurrah for that.
A cherry is duly awarded. Thankyou to insert for flagging it up to me.
