Liquid language IP

My friend
I will pour this liquid
language
and leave you to
taste,
once and for all.

Take the spilled words
in whispered droplets,
falling as autumn leaves;
withered, brittle, dry
and soon forgotten
in winter’s bleak haze.

If I become weary,
take my hand and hold
the canister;
for they may swell my senses,
though dull my spirit
passed through sore lips.

Golden-brown they drown,
below the horizon,
in a deep sea of accents
spoken by the ocean,
the sound resonating
in empty vessels.

The rush puncturing
all coherence;
overflowing
and tiresome.
Unloading, only to understand
the insignificance.

A wonderful take on the I.P., Pia.

The fourth stanza, particularly outstanding:-

"Golden-brown they drown,
below the horizon,
in a deep sea of liquid language
spoken by the ocean,
the sound resonating
in empty vessels."

'Liquid language'...I like that;-)

Hi Pia,

this brilliant poem of yours, is wonderfully
dramatic, I could see and hear it being read
by someone like Richard Burton, who read poetry
very well, something along the lines of
Dylan Thomas.

I thought this was a very professional piece and I
really enjoyed reading it.

Thankyou for sharing.

Jenny.

Hej.
Nice, like a sweet Danish pastry with...

"...The rush puncturing all coherence..."

My favorite part:

Take the spilled words
in whispered droplets,
falling as autumn leaves;
withered, brittle, dry
and soon forgotten
in winter’s bleak haze.

Wonderful.
