I have a new face
No, I haven’t been through plastic surgery
It’s just that I have
Acquired a new attitude.
It’s not that I’m not critical
Everything has just mellowed out
No cutting edges
No hysterical, frustrated , hyper tensional
Remarks
I’m not afraid
I’ll take the punches as they come
I can defend myself
And I can see reason
I seem to be more secure
Not so unsure
Days pass with ease
No particular worries
I’m not going to say
So far
Because I have a firm belief
That it will continue
It’s not that I don’t put up a fight
I struggle to make
The struggle worth while
I balance the pros and cons
And surface without
being short of breath
There’s lots of space
For what I want to do
Encouraging others on the way
I don’t hide my light
Under a bushel
But you won’t be blinded by my headlights
Either
I get satisfaction in simple things
I haven’t changed that much
Essentially
I haven’t noticed
Getting older yet
Maybe a trinkle
No great demands
Simple does it
I am quite content
Never thought about being content
Always thought I had to be happy
That’s what I am
Quite enjoying life
Thanks for being a part of it

Pia, you described such a 'perfect' person in this poem that it made me want to read more and more, to learn more about this person.
Sure you wasn't describing yourself? :D
'There’s lots of space
For what I want to do
Encouraging others on the way'
I really wish more people were like this nowerdays.

I think this is a great, let's not rage against the world or crave sublime happiness, quiet contentment is the way forward, really enjoyed this Pia.

Highhat.
Like the others, I enjoyed this.
I liked the...
"...Acquired a new attitude..."
Just keep wearing the Highhat though.
And this line...
"...I get satisfaction in simple things..."
A lot to be said for that.
Take care
