Knowing that my double chin was not at all to compare
with a flaxen young beauty with her whole body so rare
a great joy to others and of course herself
She would be conscious of her well shaped limbs
and her tanned body not to be left on the shelf,
being able to wear almost everything ,
even a pair of Ciabatto shoes and a g-string
I let my envy at this Aphrodite shape
turn into sheer anger which eventually consumed me at a gape
as others joy of her body doomed me to sit in the surgeons chair
for yet another thrill with plastic surgery twas to be my fair.

Hi Pia,
Good poem. Oh the horrors of plastic surgery.
I'm not saying that plastic surgery is a load of
rubbish, because for someone who has had burns,
or has been in an accident, that's fair enough, but
when I see these pretty young girls, who are beautiful
go and have it done, it makes me feel sad.
Jenny.

Thanks glad you liked it ;)I don't think I would use it either even if I did have a double chin ;)

Many a true word is spoken in a poem, and none truer than here.
Much enjoyed, and who's to say that double chins won't catch one...one of these days?;-)

Good idea for the IP Pia! I understand if someone need it done, yet think its wrong there are so many completely plastic women, even kids, maybe not many real ones left! K
