from the ABC set other things

Well I must say, it is nice to get out of the heat. Yes, they’re asleep. We go and check on them every so often don’t we darling. Your turn I think.

Islington borders. You? Oh the country – you are lucky. We were thinking of moving there – you should see London now, it’s terrible – you can’t use the state schools at all where we are – they’re dreadful. I mean one would like to be inclusive, in theory, but there are limits. It’s going to cost us a fortune.

So depressing there now – well we can’t move just yet because of the property market – yes, huge mortgage. It’s all a bit difficult. We were abroad – South Africa, yes and so we missed out on the right time to buy. Actually no we didn’t enjoy it – very violent. It would have been lovely except for the people. And Toby was very unhappy in his job – they won’t work you know – not that I’m racist or anything - so we came home – that’s when we had the children

Yes they are quite young – but I think they’re getting something out of it – so educational. They don’t quite understand why it’s not like the cartoon though, and of course the heat….oh you saw us did you? Yes that was Noah – the terrible twos you know – you just have to ignore …he does stop eventually. Awfully hard trying to get the buggy round the rainforest – it’s supposed to be all-terrain but it isn’t really. Quite a disappointment considering how much we paid. Lovely to meet another English person – most of them here seem to be French – not very friendly are they.

We must be around the same age……oh I was right – but yours are older, you are lucky. I sometimes wish I hadn’t waited because they are so tiring aren’t they. Loving the trip. I know, they were very good. I think they won an award in the Guardian for eco tourism. …No – we didn’t plan at all - this was a spur of the moment decision – a last minute trip ..it was so cold and depressing you know? And so we just had to get away…yes, terribly expensive, but everything is nowadays,…… we put it on the cards – maxed them out.

I don’t think much of the hotel do you? It’s a little basic, and I do wonder about the hygiene – have you been ill too? Our room’s not very clean either ..is yours? Our guide is a wonderful chap though….the boys love him. He’s taking us out again later on the night walk. I just wish his english was a little better.

Are you going to tip yours? I know they say you should but it’s costing us so much already…it ought to be included really. Well I think I need another drink…they don’t actually come to the tables do they – it’s rather tiresome – oh look here’s Toby back. He can get them for us – what would you like?

I used to care for fourteen species of lemur ... little swines the lot of them. See, now I disagree, I think she's great, typical Brit abroad. I think we've all met her.

I LOVED the lemurs. The woman was hilarious, trying to push her baby buggy around the rainforest. Was she typical? I have been very lucky so far then, only to have met one

gambling on poker sites to steady the boat - not sure that's the best option to be honest.

thank you for saying such nice things. I didn't make her up you know (maybe I enhanced her a little bit), she was a real person. It was so hard, listening to her, to keep a straight face. You're partly right about Jennifer Saunders

how do you develop something as a comedy sketch? I was planning to do something with the first, but I wasn't sure what
