Well I walked away from the bike
my hair blowing around my helmet
if I look back at you, will I go
on into the leaves and the twigs
shuffling around my heavy boots?
So now you know, am already walking
through the years in leaves of time
feeling the bark dont remember tree
after trees, which one became mine?
I see a girl, so much younger than me
as shes running in a long green skirt
Her hair blows around until can't see
Where would she have gone without me then
if she was just a creature born of a tree
I must return to the other world and change
history.

Hi Kahdai,
this poem almost seems like a fantasy, love those
lines. Where would she have gone without me then
if she was just a creature born of a tree
I must return to the other world and change history.
Brilliant. It reminds me of a Robin Hobb book
called Soldier Boy. People had their souls taken
by trees. This poem kind of brought back memories of
the book.

This is cool, it has lovely imagery, I could see you getting off your bike with your hair blowing round, it has a lovely earthy natural feel to it, your quirky style makes this poem stand out, I really love it :) I love the indignance in your words, you have portrayed so much here, it's brilliant:)

Hi Kahdai,
It was kind of strange really, in the story when a
man died, his body would be tied to a tree, then the
tree would envelope his body and he would then
become part of the tree. It was all fantasy.
