“the Queen is Dead.”
He rehearses scenarios,
she fell down the stairs
a bullet went through her heart
she was killed in a car crash in Paris.
If the phone goes late at night
he hopes it is his producer
saying “George,
the Queen is Dead.
You’re on.”
