Lawnmowers

I worry about you in that flat by yourself
maybe I should come round
bring Snakes on a Plane and a takeaway.

Maybe I should stay all day
make a picnic for your balcony
and I'll bring my lawnmower

I know you said you had no garden tools.
Maybe I should stay overnight
bring a sleeping bag for the sofa

that way we've got much more time
we could drive to Ikea on Sunday morning.
Maybe I should move in

bring over my stuff bit by bit
I don't have much but there's a few patio chairs
and a George Foreman grill

and I will put out the bins and cut the grass
and not mind when you smoke
and over the years we can get hedge trimmers

a brick barbecue
secateurs
a bird table.
