The Snake and The Mongoose had a fight;
they fought all day and they fought all night.
They fought in the east and they fought in the west
to find out which beast could fight the best.
they fought all day and they fought all night.
They fought in the east and they fought in the west
to find out which beast could fight the best.
They fought in the hills and they fought in the fields
they fought and they fought and yet neither would yield
they fought in the forests and they fought in the plains;
they fought and they fought and they fought yet again.
they fought and they fought and yet neither would yield
they fought in the forests and they fought in the plains;
they fought and they fought and they fought yet again.
They fought in the water and they fought on the land
fought with sticks and with stones or with only bare hands
they fought in cold Winter and in Summer heat
fought with swords and with spears or with only bare feet.
fought with sticks and with stones or with only bare hands
they fought in cold Winter and in Summer heat
fought with swords and with spears or with only bare feet.
They fought in the south and they fought in the north;
they fought and they fought; fought for all they were worth
and when those two fiercest foes could fight no more
they called it a night and they called it a draw.
they fought and they fought; fought for all they were worth
and when those two fiercest foes could fight no more
they called it a night and they called it a draw.
