The star and I

There you are
all shiny and proud
sitting on the point of that star
There you are
a humble beacon, no shroud
You will never fall down
into the vast void
The look on your face is overjoyed
You’ve gotten far
There you are
dangling your legs
without a care in the world
even though you are sitting on the point of that
bright star
you are secure
you’ve gotten far
not a match for anyone
They couldn’t shoot you if they tried
You are bulletproof
and your star is more than bright
There you are
the quintessence of happiness
Is this luck and chance you think
You wish it would last forever
Fragments of pleasure
continually
raining down like star beams
There you are
Stay there if you can
