This week I've been staying in a flat near the seaside
and suggested a walk along the beach to Rosy
whose flat it is and she seemed surprised.
If she had lived by a graveyard would I have suggested pushing
her two year old's pushchair around the cemetry
reading names on tombstones
I've never lived in a flat by the sea
but despite the best intentions I know that if I did
I would have no shell collection.
No acquaintances on the pier to say hello to
to ruffle the cheeks of my two year old
or dog.

i like the development in your poem from the busyiness at the start - your relationships, to the paring down, no shell collection, no one to speak too...
at the end.
