If we could start
all over again...
would you
read me a story
with a happy ending,
sing me a lullaby,
rock me to sleep -
kiss me goodnight,
say you'll see me
in the morning,
tell me you love me -
and mean it?
If we could start
all over again...
would you
read me a story
with a happy ending,
sing me a lullaby,
rock me to sleep -
kiss me goodnight,
say you'll see me
in the morning,
tell me you love me -
and mean it?

Hi coral,
this was such a tender poem, it really moved me.
I do hope your health is better, or if not that
it's improving.
It's good to read your pieces of work again.
Jenny.

Thank you Jenny, Jacques, fatboy and ScoZen for taking the trouble to comment on my `practice piece'...honestly can't remember how I ever managed to write anything of worth but I'll keep trying and perhaps it will come back to me soon.
Sorry not to comment on anyone's work lately - not like me - have been avoiding Abc recentlyas Life has got in the way of art (sorry to be so cryptic). X

And the simplicity and sparseness in this one makes it for me. Gentle yet powerful, less is more. Loved it!

Wow, so pleased you liked it and let me know, sue, as I had a genuine block for about 6 weeks at least and this was a way of easing back into writing. Many thanks for reading my stuff!
