from the ABC set The last days

Complete with my own rowing boat,
Darkened the oars on a fine hemp sail,
Slogged it in the water slowly,
Pardoned the judge,
For refusing my bail,

A terrible night it was,
Drifted all the way to the coast,
I tried to settle there,
But she still carried his ghost,

Back out to sea, another trip,
The yellow planets the anchor,
Pulling me along with its falling solar
I told her, I really did,
But she didn't listen, she just agreed,
"We're really quite a like you and me"

Can I take much more, just listen,
Can I take much more, just breathe,
Can I take much more, Just stop,

Its not a chorus, I told her,
I'm trying to emphasize my point,
But the boat had left by this time,
Hers was a mute voice.
