Wicked

She lived in a dim world,
just stepped out of a shadow,
into a lighter shade,
all she needed was a window,
to show how much better her life could be.

Everything is relative,
you have heard spoken,
so compared to before,
this wonderful new life
you did anything to get
and everything to keep.

She's the one who poisoned the princess,
she's the one who enchanted the king,
she is the one in the long black dress,
she's the one you never should let in.

All you need is a window
to let some light through into
an otherwise dark space
and if you decide
to let it
shine on your face
you'll see
how much better
you could be.
