What do we think?
Play some marbles,
Knit a sweater,
Bake a cake,
Listen to the radio,
have a conversation
do a jigsaw puzzle
drive around the block a few times?
What do you think, killing time
When the car runs out of gas
When the very last puzzle piece is missing
When there is no one to talk to
When there is static
When there are missing ingredients
When you have no yarn
And when marbles was played 60 yrs. ago.
Is "killing time" really relevant?
We cannot kill time
Time watches us as we play, as we fumble, as we waste
T I M E
Time only has time and will never stop or die
Only as it goes on, time will kill us
