Sneaking past the censo

I'm starting this blog in the hope that I'll be able to keep it up. It's not that I’m the type of person who starts something and then quickly gives up. On the contrary, I’m a persistent character who, once he starts something, will go all out to keep it up. And I do, in fact, have a Japan-based blog that, despite coming up against many hurdles, I have kept up for more than five years.

The problem is that I live in China, and the Chinese government does not approve of blogs; so blogs are usually blocked. Consequently, my blog, ‘The Surrealistic Side of Japan’, is blocked. This is rather ironic as most of the articles on my blog show Japan in a politically incorrect and frivolous light, which in the present circumstances, should appeal to the Chinese government.

I’m in the UK at the moment, so I’m taking the opportunity to start this blog in the hope that it will pass the censorship when I get back to China and that I can continue uploading articles regularly. If the worst comes to pass, and this blog is blocked; then I’ll just have to upload articles on my regular trips outside the country.
