Oh dear, what did they do to johnny D in this movie?

Root beer can be fun. However I think that it is quite possible that he has, in fact, been abducted by aliens and will only be delivered back after a year and a day by his fairy godmother. Of course, you could only have a poor replacement of the rather cool Johnny, so this might just be a blip... Personally I preferred him in PotC.

Tastes like germolene and makes your mouth go numb - and that's not a good thing. Not that I'm a regular germolene muncher!

Is ia version of what we English call ginger beer/ale? Or is that something completely different? I remember when they sold root beer at McDonalds, absolutely minging it was.

Its obvious, root beer is beer made out of roots. Roots of things. Things with roots, rooty things. Choped up and made into beer. Or maybe I'm thinking of beetroot, which is a bit like beer root. Anyway, I'd drink it, especially if it tasted like germolene. A pint of Peculiar Old Bob's Germolene, my man, and serve it in my personal tankard. That's living.

I start a thread about a new johnny Depp film, and you lot rapidly change the subject into a chinwag about root beer, just because something truly dreadful happens to mr Depp in the film i'm sure all his fans will be able to take it.

Laughed and laughed and laughed about Skeeter's Pint of Peculiar Old Bob's Germolene... bet they didn't have any of that in the film? Anyway is the film worth watching? You never said.....

Apparently it's the third in a trilogy, it stars Depp, Antonio Banderas,Salma Hayek,Willem Dafoe,Enrique Iglesias, Ruben Blades and Mickey Rourke............oh and a Chihuahua. It's basically a Bloodfest for 100 mins, slightly surreal and bizzarre, and Johnny D fans will not enjoy the last third. I thought it was interestiing but not great.
