That's it, I'm moving
Well, it was reported today that Shell Oil Company has developed a way to get shale oil from the Colorado Green River Basin and expects that they'll be producing within 5 years.
The estimate is that the Green River Basin (beneath my feet) contains well over 1 trillion barrels of oil. The largest such deposit on the planet. They've tried to get to this before but it was too difficult.
The beauty of all this is that we can now become a war zone. This is going to ruin the state. That's it...I'm moving to someplace safe like Afghanistan or Iraq. Either that or I'm going into the oil business.
really it us who is destroying the world
no! really?
Ha! Where is Jasper, when we need his refreshing input on the state of the world?
liana what are you inplying but that comment i dont take kindly to people that.
Best not to get into any puch-ups on your first day, Roxie.
Roxie, you must develop a thick skin and take nothing personally. It's difficult to get the tone of voice right when writing and things may be misinterpreted or misrepresented. We have some real shit-fights in this forum, and some absolutely brilliant arguments/discussions. Don't let yourself get offended...
Roxie,
Don't listen to archergirl, she don't know shit. We're all bastards and bitches and never trust any of us. Especially me....
Archergirl - when did you say the stars predicted there would be head-butting :)
dont worry about i just dont like people beeing like that i have just JUST got out of collage i have been abused there i dont want people to harm me any more.
Today, actually! LOL. Right about now...
whos head may i ask.
Just general heads, Roxie. Archergirl predicted a few days ago that the Astrological conditions today would encourage head-butting.
urmm
Of course that was completely NOT the case at the pope's funeral, was it? Gobsmackingly peaceful and orderly, Syrian prezzies shaking hands with Israeli prezzies.
*shakes head*
I only hope this is a harbinger for better days to come. Despite the fall of the Roman Empire.
*blows a kiss to radiodenver*
*ducks*
so sad that jonh paul has died but im not even religous but i still care
Well, yes, it's sad, but he was old and quite ill, so I'm sure he, for one, is relieved! We've had several forums about the old Pontiff on here recently. Some are quite thoughtful...
its all over the news i'm in rome at the moment
I often find reality is better left to the dreamers. Just turns out the dreamers only dream about money!!
Now, as an ossie, i feel it's my duty to ask, what the hell ISN'T ruined about the US of A anyway? joke by the way (it's our duty to joke over here!)
But i'm all for sabotaging the operation to save your homeland nonetheless. Hmmm...we're kind of like mercenaries down under here aren't we? No wonder your government hires us so much!
Protest buddy, protest. Watch 'Fight Club', then protest some more.
[%sig%]
Personally, I have better things to do than stand in front of fast moving trains.
Well, glad you brought it up Radio. I prefer white over red myself.
It's all a vast leftist-green movement conspiracy, RD.
I agree Radio. It's fucked. But it's been working for the Arabs for years! And their god seems intact!
all hail shell. Question is, shell god shell a head today, or shell god shell a tail?
hmmm...poison the oil Radio!
best wishes,
ben.
The leftest-green movement in Colorado is restricted to the Peoples Republic of Boulder and a small pocket or two in Colorado Springs. They're up there now, enacting laws about how bright your porch light can be (no shit.) Afterwards, they're going to open another debate on florinated water and making the peace symbol the official city emblam. First, they have to find a place to park their BMW's so they won't get dented by somebody driving a Ford pickup truck.
NTL sure gets around.
Ha! Sounds like Flagstaff. It too has a 'dark skies' policy, which I found quite nice, actually. Flagstaff is 1/4 rich California yuppies, 1/4 old hippies, 1/4 idiotic drunken college students, and 1/4 drunken Injuns. Maybe Boulder and Flagstaff should 'twin'.
I've been to Flagstaff, Boulder is nothing like Flagstaff. Boulder is more like 'wonderland'....ie...I wonder what weird shit they'll come up with next.
True. Boulder is more like Sedona. Sedona is a beautiful place. Pity about all the human beings soiling the beauty. It's in the vortex, you know.
im back
Roxxanne. Your middle name Megan is it?
