Ah, in that case we would probably call them devils. In the Bible they were known as unclean spirits. I wondered if they were the same. So Ibless is Lucifer or Satan (The Devil)?
I do not believe because I've chosen not to believe. I think it is superstition.
Now, indulge me....answer my question and stop diverting. Be honest. I do not wish to offend you, but this is an honest question and you offered discussion on the matter.
Amr,
I'm not trying nor do I wish to attempt a debate on the existance of God. I want to know what you believe the reaction to my belief would be in a deeply Muslum community.
So far as I can tell, it would be one of non-acceptance. You appear to think that you can change my mind and would rather pursue that course of action than have an open and honest discussion on the reality of the consequences of my belief placed in certain environments.
ok.they will call a person like tou ALmolhed that means that you dont belive in god,i repeat again they will try to help you understand why there must be a god,if you refused to belive its your choice thats all.i think that you want me to say that muslims will kill you or mabye make a so called sucide mission of you but darling thats what we are, what you think about us that we are fool and terrorists and kill anyone that didnt belive inn islam all that is from your media and no other source, man there i alot of people like you didnt belive in god, like the people of the soviet union before, and when they entered islam they found what is supposed to be missed from their life:spirit comfortable and destination beleving.thats all man
so smiley where we last end? yes,let tell you something that you may not belive:when tsonami hitted asia the shape of the ochean waves formed the arabic word allah god its true we all saw it in tv,and all the coast has been devasteted except mosques.sobhan allah!
Amr,
I'm not trying to get you to say anything. I have opinions formed from limited information, that's all. My opinions may be very wrong. Here's your chance to correct them, from your own perspective.
I can say this...In my own country, if I were to do as I described in certain parts of the country, I would be treated violently. I assume, being humans, that the same would hold true in a Muslum community (lets say downtown Tehran.) Some people would ignore me, others would disagree and others would become angry. We're no different here. My point, which I think came across was that we had great difficulty between you and I just entering into a discussion, due to differences in cultural and religious thinking. If two different peoples can't discuss something, how can they ever come to understand one another?
I personally do not want to be preached to about a God I do not believe in. I don't want to be persecuted for not believing in God. In America, I have the freedom to have this belief and the right to be protected when I say so. I do not believe that this freedom and right exists across the globe.
You ARE jasper!
Come on own up.
Your style is unmistakeable, and trying to appear more lucid, intelligent and likeable is not sufficient to disguise your real self.
first, being two oersons with 2 different cuktures wont prevent us from understand each other coz we have a connection wich is not related to our culture:humanity.being human is the poin,i sometimes think like you,do god exist?why i must belive in him?but i at once discovers why i have to,not coz islam says there is,but coz my heart says there must be somethin who controls everything, take an example america wich you live in.imagine there is no president and army and officers and other commanding units to control america, what will happen?athe crimes will spread the robbering will spread there will be no america to control after a day.thats just america,so whats about unvirse
Amr, the Catholics have the same 'miracles' with pictures of the Virgin Mary or Jesus appearing in bread rolls, on walls, in a plate of spaghetti, whatever.
I understand.
I'm a Humanist/Athiest (apply label here --->). I am in the minority anywhere I go in the world. I believe that a man is what a man does. If man treats his fellow man (women too) with respect and dignity, regardless of what they believe, then man is good. If man does not tolerate different opinions, than man is intollerent. If a man is fanatic about his religion, then that man is a religious fanatic.
Morality can and does exist in the absence of God. Man can coexist with other men without the presence of God. They have to want to though.
We are all on a quest for meaning, whatever that meaning is to us personally.
Mile High, I don't think you're in the minority, really, except there on the border of the wasteland they call the Midwest. I think it's a very pragmatic point of view.
i asked you with a very seruious question dont make jokes radio, did you know why you are saying this?coz you are lost, you dont even know where to go after death, and that means that you dont know why are on earth either.tell me why are you on earth radio, dont say just to chat!isnt there is somethin else,my friend?
Well, between 80-90% of this country practices Christian religion. Maybe 2 % Jewish, The rest made up of Muslum, Hindu, Others and of course my type. Religion is a hard thing to shake.
looooooooool still running from telling me why are you on earth? see you cant answer coz your empty from any faith that connect you to the truth,by the way britney spears do belive in god! loooooooool
Amr,
I grasp your concept fully. Perhaps you don't grasp mine.
I am here. I am a chemical machine. I exist until I no longer exist. While I'm here, I behave in a fashion that allows me to co-exist with others to the best of my ability. I believe at the time of death of this body, my mind will take me where it wants to go, time will stand still and I will exist as I exist in that reality. If I want to go to Maui, that's where I'll go. If I can't go to Maui, then I'll see what the other flights are and make the best of it. Now, if 80% of the worlds population believed this, there'd be a lot less fighting, unless of course there were limited flights to Maui, then there might be a few fists flying over the remaining window seats. Wanna go to Maui with me. I'll save you a spot.
Oh, I used to be quite addicted to Star TRek. Hence, not owning a tv now. But it was a good, uplifting, and morally timely series. If you looked past the appalling costumes and the fact that almost every sentient being looked humanoid.
Well, I'm quite fond of the Lizard Man from the first series. He lives with me now. He's under the couch or something, only comes out when he's hungry. Funny thing though, when he smells eggs, he hides.
Yes, but you're talking to (I believe) a mostly different demographic set than the one you belong to, Roxie.
Smiley, it was the one where they were mining for something and discovered biological readings, but couldn't figure out where they were coming from, and then discovered little sparkly things in the sand that were sentient, and the Prime Directive forced them to stop mining altogether. ..?
And I used to MOCK trekkies.
How the world crumbles around me.
