Dream chain

Listening to other people's dreams is boring as listening to other people's problems.

So how about a share a dream scheme. You give details of one of yours and in exchange for boring everyone to death, offer an interperation of someone else's dream. Here is my dream (I can't offer an interperation of anyone else's until I have one to interperet.)

Earlier tonight I dreamed I was in a school as a pupil. I was vying for the teacher's attention but he was ignoring me. In an attenpt to get noticed I drank a tumbler full of neat scotch and then fell on the floor pretending to be drunk.

the teacher dragged me by my hair/ feet, arms (alternately) to my room (It was a boarding school). As they put me in my bed I suddenly realised I had intense feelings of love for them (and I really felt this in my dream which is why I started this thread!). But they put a cloth over their face and said that I shouldn't know who they are because they had to leave. they even had gloves on their hands so I could not recognise them. But they held me and told me that even though they couldn't be with me forever we shouldn't think about that until tomorrow.

then I woke up feeling sad.

i keep having the same dream, i am in a doctors and every thing is white and my mum is on the table the doctor is coming to wards my mum he has his hands behind him and he takes out two crabs and takes my mums eyes out with them (i know is will not be realitly as my mother is dead) and then i wake up......... Did your mum die from eye cancer, megan? It certainly sounds as if you blame the doctors for her death. Sad when you're mum dies when you're relatively young!

i dont know what she died of i was 9

Very sad, megan. Perhaps you have bad memories of visiting her in hospital and blame the doctor for keepinhg your mum rather than letting her go home with you.

i do remember seeing her in hospital

OK Jude, you had a visitation from Michael Jackson. Simple as that. My dream? I dreamed I saw St Augustine...

oh ...didn't realise the CAPS lock was on...back to lower case jude! Mississ...that is very funny but Michael Jackson wears white gloves so it must be his nemesis. Smilie...funny you say that because I was trying to work out how I could identify them by their hands in the dream. George, St Augustine was commited to arguing and provoking others so it is no suprise he chose to visit you. I suspect the dream is because you have insecurities about your haircut.

I woke up knacked after having to drag Jude to her room.

The ecstacy that I'd spiked her whisky with had begun to take effect then...

She muttered something and started to take off her top then the others came and spoiled it. Damn (smiles).

It was a younger Jude, a refection of a previous memory.

Seems pretty easy to interpret to me Jude... invisible man that you feel love for... hrmmmmm *rubs chin* Try this... last night I dreamed I was about to fly to Norway (this depite my vow to never ever set foot in that country again). When I got to the airport, I had no passport, and was told that I could catch a ferry from scotland and argue at the other end. On arrival at norway, my ex boyfriend was waiting in his car for me at the dock, slumped in his car with "please help me" written in steam on the window. I ignored it (nice), and went into his house where a group of all my friends and my mum, were drinking champage. A basket containing new born dalmation pups sat on the floor, which was made of churned up mud. Boring dream.

Jude, love, you give too much away! Anyone else who dreams about downing a tumbler of scotch wouldn't have to PRETEND to be drunk. And girls' boarding schools ...

Jude reminded me of the song 'Judy in disguise with glasses' which has been running through my mind ever since. I just never realised they were Whisky glasses (smiles).

I heard that on the radio last week and loved it, Mykle. I assumed it was a tongue-in-cheek tribute to Lucy in the Sky, but it had really nice jazz/swing bits in the background. Who sang it?

No idea, Andrew, but no doubt George will.

Looks like it might be John Fred & His Playboy Band, Andrew, but the name doesn't ring a bell.

I think Liana is probably right and Jude is in love with the Holy Spirit (sweet smile).

I reckon your dream is related to the ABC do, Liana. Everybody is having fun but you. Sounds like you feel you're a bit like De woman from 1001 Dalmations - probably just because you are stressed and haven't time to be your usual kind and helpful self.
Liana
Anonymous's picture
hahaha... no. I shall be having fun on the weekend directly following the abc do, I just cant afford the time to come down to the smoke on a thursday, thats all. I know they'll all have a wonderful time... next one hopefully will be in the summer sometime.

Liana, Norway represents the parts of your life that you try to forget. The missing passport is symbolic of denial. Each dalmation pup represents a whim - an idea born of yourself that you have been unable to fulfill.
Liana

blimey... well. Norway, I agree with - I dont want to ever go back there, so not having a passport is symbolic of my reluctance to revisit. Losing my passport is actually (next to fire) my greatest nightmare scenario, as it repressents me not being able to go 'home'. Dalmation pups - because I am scouring the papers looking for one at the moment, they appear in the dream - nothing more deep than that I'm afraid. The boyfriend I dreamt of, is currently having a really bad time in his life - me walking past his obvious request for help is me saying in reality - you have to manage on your own now. (I should point out that i studied dream analyis when I did psychology, some years ago)

You've set me off on another song with all this talk of dreams, Jude. Mama and Papas singing 'Dream A little Dream Of Me'. A lovely song - feel free.

Grrr... Why don't I dream these days.... If find I used to have particulary vivid dreams when under great stress. Does that happen to others?
Liana

Try wearig a nicotine patch for a night. You'll get what are commonly known as "patch dreams" - extremely vivid. Mind you, you might get addicted, if not to the nicotine, then definitely to the dreams.

I Thought a "patch dream" was an erotic one had by adolescent males so named because of the damp patch left on the bedding.

Don't talk wet, Jude, Patch is a one eyed teddy.

"I Thought a "patch dream" was an erotic one had by adolescent males so named because of the damp patch left on the bedding." I would not mind one of those either; how do you engineer them? My imagination is somewhat lacking these days. Would sticking a nicotine patch where it counts help?

Maxwell, ogasms are all over body experiences are they not? I have no idea what this means. Last night I dreamed I was with my friend (the alcoholic one I was telling you about). I was sleeping in his arms and I felt appy. But then he left me and for spome reason I don't get, I started beating my own back with a chain until it was all bruised and covered in blood????

Don't they stick them over their mouths so they can't smoke, Gerry? I'm told you don't wear them at night though - probably so you can snore.

just don't masturbate for a long time, your body will need to get rid of the dead/excess sperm cells it is producing - and so will do this while you're asleep.

I'm no dream expert, but it sounds as if your dream is something to do with feeling insecure. Need to think about it some more, dreams are a lot to do with feelings so I've been told, you need to focus on the odd mixture of feelings they leave you with to come to some understanding of what they're about. I have been having a lot of dreams lately about going underground, to this lost secret world, full of strange creatures and danger. It is very creepy, and I hate being there and long to go back to the surface to the daylight where it is safe; yet something compells me to keep going back there, and every time it terrifies me, but there's something important I have to get from there. It is a recurring dream, I get almost every night, and I wish I would find whatever it is I've got to find in this alien place and never have to go back there again.

Jude, Your chain beating dream was a sexual dream. The chain represents a penis and you are frustrated and anxious.
