Chesney Hawkes. His first album still makes me feel like a very excited, hopeful teenager when listening to it - but I don't feel guilty. I just sing along very merrily.

Ooooh, Flash. I'm with you for BOC. What a rockin' song. I sing it to my kids at bedtime. I also sing 'The Little Drummer Boy', however, for some balance. 'Both Sides Now'.

John Denver songs are great for karaoke. When I lived in Bangkok, my Thai friends always insisted that I sing 'Take Me Home, Country Road' at karaoke bars. Damn, now I've got it in my head....

Ahh 'Witchita Linesman' written by the great Jimmy Webb. Jimmy Webb plays the Bloomsbury in November. I'm going back for that one.

Can anyone remember a song from the early eighties called 'Take the L out of lover and it's over'? I thought the group were called Aeroplane, as opposed to Airplane.

Old country and western music. George Jones 'She thinks I still care' 'Cigarettes and coffee blues' Marty Robbins 'The end of the world' Skeeter Davis. 'I fall to pieces' Patsy Cline. Oh and many many more. And the prefix of this thread, 'guilty' doesn't apply. [%sig%]
