ABCtales Christmas Newsletter 2007

Dear ABCtalers,

First of all we trust that all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

A few points in this final Newsletter of 2007 - first of all the Nostalgia Competition. There are two sides to it, poetry and prose. We've had a few entries so far but we could do with a lot more. The closing date is the end of the day on 22nd December so get writing and get entering! Entry fee is £5. All the details are here: http://www.abctales.com/node/567559

We're hoping to make major changes to ABCtales in 2008 with a whole host of great new features and services. We can tell you that we have been talking to a number of UK broadcasters who want 'literary material' - including readings of some of your work. That will enable you to make a little money out of your writing, give us great publicity and gain you a far wider audience. We'll keep you posted as things develop.

You are bound to get some books for Christmas and even a few book tokens. If you want to find out what to read next then go to our sister site http://www.booktribes.com and discover some great new books. It's all free and you can use your ABCtales username and password. Just add @abctales.com to the end of your username. Hundreds of you have already done so and you keep going back so the experience must be a good one!

I know you are busy at this time of year so I'll keep this short. Enter the Nostalgia Comp and have a great time over the festive season.

All the very best,
Tony Cook and the team
