no, george. wendall, I wasn't daft enough to send anything off to 'our all action publisher' so didn't suffer your indignity. can't you lot see that 'ralph baiting' is long past its sell by date? where were you two years ago when a few of us took ralph on for his anon postings ... ah yes ... drinking beer with him in camden. you only turned on him after he was exposed as the guy who was riling karl, before that, you were more than happy (I guess) to see him attack certain female members (and me - ralph had many pops at me under his various psueds) of abc. seems to me that ralph behaves nowadays (with the odd exception like denying he called someone a cnut) so just go with the flow or ignore him. Responding to his threads or his replies in threads, ie this one, only serves to give him the moral high ground and makes the ralph knockers look like titz. greco is another example. sure he is/has been a nasty piece of work. I surfed thru some old threads the other day. My, how you all got on so well when he first appeared! I find the best response to people you don't like is to ignore their posts. What I do find distasteful is when people suck up to someone under their own name then trash them anon. I may use anon names at times but I've not done that.

My problem with Larph stems from the fact that he fabricated a complete lie about me, said it was supported by others including members of management, refused to name them (on the grounds of his inherent decency) and when exposed as a liar he made veiled and qualified murmurs about being misinformed (when in fact he claimed these people had spoken directly to him, inferring that they too were liars) but at no point ever said, 'I lied about George, I made it all up to destroy his integrity.' Until such time as the sack of shite apologies in those terms in the forum he made the accusation he will remain a person I have the highest disrespect for and I will never let him or others forget his duplicity. In spite of what you say Larph DOES NOT behave these days anymore than Dicko does, they are just a more careful. Karl is more than capable of conducting his life without any interference from me.

But what really is the difference between 'behaving' and being 'more careful'? Doesn't being 'careful', even for cynical reasons, entail treating people politely and with respect? If so, let's all be more careful. It's all too clear to me that you're all not just capable of behaving decently, but more disposed towards such behaviour - Paul, in particularly, only goes commando when he's either severely pissed off, or out to prove a point about how it feels to be on the receiving end of such tactics. Any argument that requires a complex, multi-POV run down of various actions, reactions and espionage antics stretching back over two years in order for it to make the slightest slither of sense to outsiders is surely a feud worth knocking on the head. I hereby scold Ralph and Paul for s.hit-stirring on this thread. But they hardly set the trend for it, do they?

I have to agree with most of what you say, Stormy. I did only start to degend myself against Ralph once he was exposed as the guy who was riling me under various psedonyms (jon Gaunt, Paul Weller etc.). And yes, at the time I was drinking with him in Camden, refusing to believe he could be so duplicitous. I'm quite a trusting kind of bloke and like to think the best of people until proven otherwise. In this in case, I was proved wrong, but I'd still like to think I can retain my faith in the goodness of people. I did, however, defend myself against Ralph under the various psedonyms he was using, although at the time I didn't know it was him. It's in my nature to fight back, although I applaud your more mature approach in ignoring these idiots. I now know why he continues to haunt my presence on these forums and cannot believe it's taken me about a year and a half to work out. He's certainly a sad case and should be ignored. I'm tired of him now anyway, and just wish he would leave me alone.

I'm not that mature Karl, I often respond myself, as you well know and I agree that everyone has the right to defend themselves on the forum. I've also said before that, like many others here, I enjoy a good handbag fight thread and often find some of the pisstaking threads funnier than anything I could buy but lately, it seems so pointless and laboured. One faction starts a thread, the other says 'Idiot!' and the same old same old same old stuff flares up again. In this thread it is ralph's fault. If everyone had ignored your post karl you would, no doubt, be feeling a bit of a tit for posting it ... in fact, had ralph said 'karl wiggins is a tit' instead of 'idiot' his comment might have been amusing (ish) given the thread title, instead it produced a response from wendall. I don't recall wendall posting anything before (not in the last few months anyway) and assumed the usual trolling had started - hence my original post which kicked all this off - see? I'm guilty too (plus I'd read the server anon accusing me of shitstirring on the other thread below) What I am labouring to say is that if you ignore the attack, the attacker often looks pretty daft the next day. A good example is the mini-war between myself and greco. I tired of squabbling with him and didn't respond after a while. To be fair, he hasn't responded to any of my posts either lately and, hopefully, it has now died out. I appreciate the feud between ralph and others is entirely different, seeing that you all met him and thought him a mate, whereas greco and myself are simply words on a screen - so there is no sense of betrayal - but you must appreciate that to bystanders it is like watching Rumble in the Jungle every night of the week for a whole year... after a while you get to know when the next punch is coming. And yes, I've done my fair share of trolling but I tend to reserve it for the likes of mellette (or whatever his name was); those that invent names and have conversations with themselves; the self promoters; the self raters; liars; cheats; MPs and anything else that riles me on a weekday. And short people. In real life. The ones that poke their index finger in your chest and get so-in-your-face you can smell what they ate three days ago.
