Anyone wanna do a ProWriMo?
I don't usually take part in NaMoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month,) partly because of the loose guidelines. 40k words means I'll write 0 for two thirds of the month, slug out 5k before giving up. Also, the novel I want to finish is so scattered that it's hard to measure how much work I'm doing on it. I spend most of my time adding and altering scenes and dialogue in pre-existing chapters.
Anyhow, for April I've been doing a poem a day as part of an improvised, unofficial NaPoWriMo, and I found that easier to stick to, even if it means that I'm awake til 2 every night, refusing to retire until I've written something for the day.
Wondered if anyone else wants to do a Prose Writing Month in May, whereby the target is, say, 1000 words a day, be it part of a novel, short story or anything else.
The obvious brush-off is that we should all set our own targets, as writers, but I just thought it'd be nice to make it more of a community thing.
