I tried one today!!!!! What a pissawful experience - all that messing around for so little payback.
This is not what I call F R U I T!
The only reason to have one in the house is if your expecting intruders and need something to hurl.
Trust me on this, you don't want to go there.

That a pommegranate has (on average according to tradition) 613 seeds in it and this is taken by Jewish tradition as being a symbol of the 613 laws in the Torah which have to be followed as well as a reminder of the food eaten by the Israelites during their exile (i.e. Moses, the guy who God gave the Torah to in the first place)
