Worth a read even if you're not a Citizen!

For my race the emergency manual is available almost everywhere and in all languages.
Once the simple code is broken readers will discover that it contains an explaination of the cover story, an extensive guide, handy hints and tips, and a brief description of the end game for those who have become totally dis-oriented.
The official manual is the King James version but the ubiqitous Gideon is more than adequate.

That is a very, very cool poem. I don't really have any intelligent critique to add, but I thought it was a brilliant and inventively realised piece of satire. I enjoy poems that tell a surreal story. Top stuff!
Yeahbutyeahbut.... you should listen to the song I uploaded just before it. Thanks for the comments, guys. Needs work, I think. Clunky.
Ace! I love it. I hope that Michael Winner is an egg. This is really well-judged. Joe
I agree with Jon, it needs more work. Satire? It's on its way but it doesn't really do it for me. Have a look at Broken News tomorrow night - that's satire at its best. Not bad, Jon, but I've seen a lot better from you. x (that's a friendly writing kiss - not a proposition, you understand?)

I agree that it's not really satire, although it has a satirical starting point. However, I'll eat my hat if Broken News is any good. It looks like a second-rate ripoff of The Day Today. You can almost see the exec meeting: "Hey - Chris Morris, right? He's funny, but he makes people feel uncomfortable. Too extreme. Not fuzzy enough. If we could have a version of that which made people laugh *and* feel smug..."
Have you watched it Jon?
Maybe I'm always too tired to laugh at Newsnight. Or feel particularly smug about it.
I think you are supposed to laugh at THEIR smugness, Jack :O)
