South Korea - Seoul 1974

Hey guys - anyone know anybody who lived in Seoul during the seventies? Or any resources on it? Or any literature set there?
I need to do research for a novel set in Seoul during the summer of 1974. I know it sounds a bit kooky to base a story there without knowing the first thing about the culture, but meh. I need info on what a typical (or, indeed, atypical) Korean home might look like, food, clothing, all that jazz. I've tried scouring the net, but it's tricky... Ideally, I need someone who knows the place, so I can interview them a bit, someone who might have a few anecdotes, y'know.

So, whaddya say, gang?

Many libraries contain books featuring subjects other than the local area, Tim. Why, last Saturday I took out a DVD of a Japanese animation. And Japan is nowhere near Norwich! You couldn't make it up.

I knew a guy that was stationed over there then but he got blowed up by a land mine in 1992.

Exactly what sources did you try before you turned to ABC's bastions of cultural knowledge? Go to the library, ffs!

Ah yes. I forgot about good old Mun Si Pook, our friendly neighbourhood South Korean librarian friend.

Why don't you change it to 2004 or even 1994? That would be a lot easier.
