Critting on ABCtales - help!

I find it hard to do crits for writers I don't work with and who don't know me. So when I see words like 'not offended' in response to constructive criticism for no apparent reason, I worry that the writer IS offended. Is there some way I can know who wants constructive crit and who doesn't before I comment...?

there's probably no way to tell who actually wants the criticism and who doesn't until you post a comment and judge the writer's response. i, for one, would like to get more criticism. jason

I think you shouldn't worry. There is a box to tick if you don't want feedback. For myself (I'm fairly new) any comments I receive about how it could be done better, are very welcome. And even if it pricks for a second (anything I write is 'my baby') I then consider and appreciate.

Divorced Mum of 3 who has always loved to write. Haven't done so for a while, I somehow lost the knack. Loving writing again - except for the undone washing, the messy house, the kids wanting feeding..........
