Im just curious about something. If I submit work to this site, is it protected by copyright? What I mean to say is, if another member of the site felt like ripping off my story, could he or she get away with it?

Dear MaxDog, Your work is protected by copyright and anyone ripping it off is liable to prosecution. Have a look at the terms and conditions - they are written in legalese because they have to be - but I think they're pretty clear. When you put your writing on ABCtales it protects it far more effectively than leaving it at home on your computer. It proves that from that moment on it is your work, it belongs to you and anyone taking it or using is infringing your copyright. In many ways you are date-marking your property and defining it as yours. Keep posting your work and share it with us all - what's the use of writing if no-one ever sees it!
