Any theives here? Anyone able to explain that selfish gene which justifies taking that which belongs unto another?
Coveting another man's oxen, if you will.
I only ask because some low life neighbour has pinched the newspaper recycling baskets. Pedants among you will observe that the council is the owner of such items, but I had grown kind of attached to them- probably a sentimental streak that matures with age. I find I can watch certain soap operas now without invoking genocide on all scriptwriters.
What kind of wretched soul steals a newspaper recycling basket?
One who hasn't got any?
Silly me.
If you live in a neighbourhood anything like mine, they may not have nicked it, just booted it further along the lane on the way back from the pub. It's swings and roundabouts: I've now got an ice-cream sign from a shop.
I've still got a shit load of those nasty england flags that all the silly fuckers put on their cars....it was very entertaining game to play ont way back from the pub. I helped alot of people.
there is a temporary bus stop sign in our communal kitchen. It is heavy and must of taken several drunk students to get it there. It gets confusing - waiting endlessly in one's kitchen for the bus to your bedroom.
I used to have an enormous Wembley flag from one of the towers, it was about 20 feet long and i had it wrapped across 3 of my befroom walls as a student/dosser.
