Birthday greetings.

I know it's late in the day but nevertheless I wish you a happy birthday, Liana babe.

The Chicken Has Landed By Rigmarole

The backdrop of screams, shouts and scuffles reminded me of bad times but the overall effect was to leave me smiling.
If he hadn't skinned up he would probably only have managed a shop front (instead of a froint :o)
Good stuff, Rigmarole.

People Who Are Happy Don't Die by Nancy Am

Maybe it's people who are happy that DO die because people who aren't are dead already... no. Still read this and see what you think.

Silly balls in a high coup anyone?

I see that at least one person hasn't much idea about syllables or haiku. Their latest offering (which may or maybe not intended as an entry in the competition) has a 5 - 7 - 5 format. Only problem is they are words and not syllables.

For those that don't know, 'syllable' is one word with three syllables.

New Orleans Lite

I don't know if anyone saw the piece by Naomi Klein in the Nation or today's Guardian. She quotes Jordan Flaherty, a New Orleans-based labour organiser, "Now the developers have their big chance to disperse the obstacle to gentrification - poor people." N'Awlins gentrified!?! Whatever next? The Queen joins the Communist Party? Anyway if the relief and re-developement effort in Sri Lanka is anything to go by. Bugger!
