Horizon: The Truth about Fat. BBC 2

Horizon: The Truth about Fat. Surgeon Gabriel Weston chews every word before enunciating. She seems to live off words. There was some swizz about her eating a full fry up and some sticky bun, but I’m sure she never swallowed. Why should a person so thin that she can’t be seen sideways investigate the truth about fat? Perhaps the problem is fat people don’t know they are fat. As someone remarked to me today maybe it’s time you went back to playing five a sides. I was horrified. The only thing I’d had to eat today was too stick thin Garbriel Westons. Seriously, why are fat people fat. Well, twin studies show that stress may play a part! Wow. I’m giving up eating stress. There is also a predisposition towards fatness. This happens in the woman, or maybe even the women's womb. A genetic switch is turned on because the embryo isn’t getting enough nutrients. So when the baby is flung out into the fat world it says I better stuff myself because this may be my last meal. No this may be my last meal. No this is definitely my last last meal apart from the last one. What seemed to work was stapling the stomach. That sends signals to the brain that the fat person doesn’t want any more grub and sends a signal to other fat folk nearby to come round and finish the meal for them. It’s win-win. My mate is about 35 stones. I’ve got a stapler!
