Story and Poem of the Month

Our Story and Poem of the Month for March very kindly chosen by Jane Hyphen:

 

After much enjoyment, reading and deliberating on the March contributions on ABC tales. My choices are as follows:
 
Story of the Month goes to celticman's Windfall, this wonderful writing brings the memories of a childhood teacher into sharper and sharper focus until it just made my eyes water. 
Honourable mentions to marandina for the mysterious, York based tale of The Golden Fleece and also Empty Homes by blighters rock, a detailed article with ideas and potential solutions to our current housing crisis.
 
For Poem of the month I've chosen JupiterMoon's 'stars over kennet', a dark, quiet, lonely river walk, lit by stars. Honourable mentions to Ewan's Miracle of Love, Starfish Girl's Swan Song is pure class and also Magnolia Fay and her moving Mother's Day tribute, I didn't know how much I'd come to love you.
