Story and Poem of the Week and Inspiration Point

Posted by airyfairy.

It's been said before, but I'll say it again - thank you so much to everyone who took part in the Reading Night last Saturday. It was wonderful to see so many of our writers, and to hear them read. And special thanks of course to Mark Burrow for the compering and to insertponceyfrenchnamehere and onemorething for the organising.

Story of the Week is jeand's 'Bitty Barby Boob, RIP'. If you've been following Jean's story, you'll be in awe of her courage and humour in the face of such difficult times. The warmth of her writing makes me feel as though I'm right there with her, and I'm sure many members of the ABC community will share that feeling: BITTY BARBY BOOB, RIP | ABCtales

Poem of the Week is skinner_jennifer's 'Relaxed Day In Summer'. When I read this I could feel myself floating on the humming of the bees and the birdsong, and I could smell the fragrance of early summer. Definitely one to take the stress of the week away! Relaxed Day In Summer | ABCtales
