Tom & Jacques Domestics
Posted by Tom Brown on Tue, 14 Apr 2026
Jacques was responsible for domestics including groceries and shopping, as well as dealings with lawyers and Mr Johan Loots.
We have been almost completely isolated.
I was more active in our homely affairs and internet. And little as there was too, I see to social matters and visiting with family and friends and internet, and then my chores, including all my own cleaning and washing.
We saw the Lootse, other family as Rina de Klerk mostly, but on occasion one or some other family member. We were treated well.
However for domestics in total we have an allowance of only R25000 (1200 $) total per month but I had some savings of my own. That must cover municipality water and electricity all household expenses including food and all medical (both on chronic illness) for us both. Only the very basics.
No luxuries no holidays basically no outings.
We will soon be becoming desperate.
Jacques now for three years has had gravely serious physical health troubles for which he had to be under state medical care. I have also had problems.
There are other unresolved documented issues, Johan Loots as an University of the Witwatersrand 2009 compensation claim as well as a motor vehicle 3rd party claim in 1988.
There is also a matter of our mother's part in a trust of a family farm near Lydenburg.
